Discover the latest events, new businesses, and real estate growth in this charming Atlanta suburb.

Hampton, Georgia, a serene suburb located approximately 30 miles southeast of Atlanta, continues to attract families and businesses alike with its affordable housing and strong sense of community.

In early November 2025, the city celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Newman Wetlands Center with the annual Wetlands & Watershed Festival. This event featured live animals, storytelling, and free family portraits, drawing residents and visitors to appreciate the local environment.

Hampton is also known for hosting major sporting events. In June 2025, the city welcomed the Quaker State 400 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, a highlight in the NASCAR Cup Series calendar. Earlier in February, the Ambetter Health 400 brought racing enthusiasts together, showcasing Hampton's vibrant sports culture.

The city's economic landscape is evolving with significant developments. A 133-acre data center has been approved north of Georgia 20 at McDonough Street, marking the first of its kind in Henry County. This project is part of the larger Henderson Farms development, a 900-acre mixed-use area that is gradually coming to life.

Residential growth is also on the rise. Seven new subdivisions are set to add nearly 1,800 homes to Hampton, including projects like Avilla with 251 units and Minter Drive offering 690 units. These developments cater to the increasing demand for housing in the area.

As of November 2025, the average apartment rent in Hampton is $1,293 for a one-bedroom unit, $1,571 for two bedrooms, and $1,882 for three bedrooms. This slight decrease of 0.1% over the past year reflects the city's commitment to maintaining affordable living options.

Education remains a priority, with local schools striving to provide quality learning experiences. Parents are encouraged to visit schools and consider various factors to ensure the best fit for their children.

Hampton's strategic location offers residents easy access to downtown Atlanta and the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, enhancing its appeal for both living and business opportunities.

With its blend of small-town charm and ongoing development, Hampton, Georgia, continues to be a desirable destination for families and businesses seeking growth and community.
